Every store you distribute to publishes its own rulebook: artwork specs, metadata formats, explicit tagging, what counts as a compilation, how a remix has to be credited. Spotify's differs from Apple's, which differs from Deezer's, and all of them change without announcing it.
You don't have to read any of them. That's what you're paying us for.
What that means in practice
- We track guideline changes across all 43+ platforms and update our checks when they move
- Review catches store-specific problems before delivery, rather than after your music is public
- When a store changes a rule that affects releases already live, we handle the re-delivery
- When a store gets something wrong about your release, we take it up with them directly
What you actually need to know
Four things. Your audio should be a complete file. Your artwork should be square, 3000 × 3000 and RGB. Your metadata should be consistent. And you should hold the rights to what you upload.
Get those four right and every store rule downstream is our problem, not yours. If we ever do need something specific from you, we'll ask for it in plain language and tell you exactly why.
