Fake streams take money out of the pool that pays every independent artist, including you. That's why we care about this, not because we assume you're doing it.
Your real streams are yours
If a store ever strips out streams it believes were artificial, that affects those streams and nothing else. Every genuine listen still counts, and you're still paid for it in full, at 0% commission.
Nothing happens without a conversation
We don't run automated punishments. A person looks at anything unusual, and if there's something to talk about, you hear it from us first, in plain language, with a chance to explain before anything changes.
We don't freeze accounts out of nowhere. If we ever have a question about your account, it arrives as a question.
If you paid for promo that turned out to be bots
This happens to a lot of artists. Those services advertise hard, they look legitimate, and they lie about what they actually do. Buying one doesn't make you a fraudster. It makes you someone who got scammed.
Tell us. Coming to us first is always better than us finding it later, and "I bought a promo package and didn't know what it was" is a normal thing we hear and know how to handle. You are not in trouble for being taken advantage of.
Where the calls actually get made
Most detection happens at the stores, not here. Spotify and Apple run their own systems and reach their own conclusions. When one of them flags something on your release, we'll tell you what they said and help you push back where there's a case to make.
