Uploading & Releases

Send us WAV, FLAC or AIFF. All three are accepted, and all three are treated identically.

Export at your master's native settings

Whatever sample rate and bit depth you mastered at, upload that. 44.1 kHz / 16-bit, 48 kHz / 24-bit, 96 kHz, all fine.

Don't downsample or convert to "be safe". Stores handle conversion themselves, and every extra bounce is one more chance to lose something.

Loudness

Almost every platform normalises playback to around −14 LUFS, and Apple Music to around −16. Mastering louder than that gains you nothing, the platform simply turns it back down and you keep the squashed dynamics.

Leave roughly −1 dBTP of headroom so the encoders have room to work.

Send the master you want people to hear

The file you upload is the file that goes to stores. Whatever you're happy for listeners to hear, send that.

We're not assessing your mix. We're checking the file arrived intact, not corrupt, not silent, not cut short. Intentional distortion, noise and near-silence are artistic choices and we read them as such.

Playing your exported file end to end once before uploading catches almost everything: a truncated ending, a missing vocal, the wrong bounce.
