Can I Use Claude With My Music Distributor?
Analytics & Insights

Yes, if your distributor offers a connector for Claude. MOOSYC does. Its connector is listed in Claude's connector directory, and it answers questions about your streams, earnings, payouts, splits and releases in plain words.

How it works

Claude reaches other services through connectors. They're built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open-source standard for connecting AI apps to outside systems.

Once you connect your distributor, Claude can look up your own data while you chat and answer from it, instead of guessing. With MOOSYC, the numbers Claude gives you are the same ones you see in your dashboard.

With MOOSYC, you approve the connection yourself on a MOOSYC page, and you can end it whenever you like.

What you can ask

With MOOSYC connected, questions like these get a straight answer:

  • "Which country pays me the most?"
  • "How much is still coming from my last single, and what's left for me after my collaborator's split?"
  • "Has everyone accepted their split on the new EP?"
  • "Can I withdraw today?"
  • "Which of my releases is streaming best on Spotify this month?"

You can follow up the way you would with a person: "And last month?", "Only Apple Music", "Just that song".

What to look for in any distributor's connector

Your distributor holds your catalog and your money, so be choosy about what you let an AI app touch. These are the things worth checking, and how MOOSYC handles each one:

Look forHow MOOSYC's connector works
Read-onlyClaude can look, never change. It can't upload, release, take anything down, edit a split or move money.
Your account onlyIt sees your own account and nothing else. There's no way to ask for anyone else's data.
You approve itEach connection request is shown on a MOOSYC page with the app's name, and nothing is shared until you tap Connect.
No passwords or bank detailsClaude never sees your password, your bank or card details, or your full payout account. For payouts it only knows the kind of method you use.
Easy to switch offDisconnect in MOOSYC under Profile → MOOSYC MCP, or remove it in Claude. Changing your MOOSYC password disconnects every AI app.
Clear about moneyClaude says whether a figure is earned, gross or estimated, and gives an "as of" date for store data.

That last row matters more than it sounds. Earned money is already in your wallet, gross is a release's income before collaborators' splits, and estimated is a projection from streams the stores haven't paid for yet. They won't match, and a good connector says which one you're looking at.

What it isn't for

Which Claude plans it works on

MOOSYC's connector works on Claude's Free, Pro and Max plans. On a Team or Enterprise plan, your organization's Owner may need to turn MOOSYC on first. It works with MOOSYC artist and label accounts.

How to connect

The quick version: in MOOSYC, open Profile → MOOSYC MCP and tap Connect Claude. Claude's directory page for MOOSYC opens, and you connect from there.
