Nearly every release we send back has one of five fixable problems. None of them are about your music.
Metadata that doesn't match itself. The artist name spelled two ways, a featured artist missing from the credits, a title in ALL CAPS. Fix: read the fields once against the track itself before submitting.
Artwork in the wrong colour space or size. Usually CMYK from a print designer, or smaller than 3000 × 3000. Fix: export as RGB, JPG or PNG, 3000 × 3000 or larger.
An audio file that didn't arrive intact. Corrupt, silent, or cut short, almost always a bounce or upload that went wrong. Fix: play your exported file end to end before uploading it.
Rights we can't see. A cover, a remix or a sample without permission documented. Fix: tell us what it is in the notes and we'll tell you what's needed.
Explicit content tagged wrong. Fix: mark any track with profanity or adult themes in the lyrics as explicit.
If we do send something back
Fixing and resubmitting is free, unlimited, and leaves no mark on your account. There's no strike system here, no penalty, and no counter ticking away somewhere.
We tell you exactly what to change, you change it, you resubmit. Most artists are through on the second pass within the hour.
