Release Review Process Explained
Uploading & Releases

You submit, a person reviews it, and it goes to stores. That's the whole process, and it's usually done within an hour.

What the reviewer checks

  • Audio integrity: the file is complete and plays properly
  • Artwork compliance: meets the size, format and colour specs stores require
  • Metadata consistency: names, titles and credits match each other
  • DSP guideline alignment: nothing in the release breaks a store's rule

It's a technical check. Nobody is deciding whether your music is good enough. We don't rate genres, mixes or budgets, and we never will.

The two outcomes

Approved. Instant releases head to stores straight away. Scheduled releases wait for your date.

Sent back with notes. Something needs your hand, usually artwork specs or a metadata mismatch. We tell you exactly what to change and why.

If it comes back

Change the thing and resubmit. It's free, there's no limit on how many times you can do it, and it leaves no mark on your account. Second passes usually clear within the hour too.
