An ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) is a unique identifier for a specific sound recording.
It tells platforms:
- Which recording is being streamed
- How streams should be tracked
- Where royalties should be attributed
Each version of a track has its own ISRC. If the audio changes, the ISRC should change.
