You can take a release down whenever you want, for any reason at all.
There is no review step and no approval step. We don’t ask why, and we don’t hold requests back. What you ask to come down, comes down.
Artists take music down for all kinds of reasons: replacing a release, a change in rights, tidying up a catalog, or simply moving on. None of them need explaining.
How a takedown works
- You request the takedown from your dashboard
- We send it straight to every store the release is on
- Stores remove it on their own schedule, most within a few days
Your subscription has nothing to do with it. Royalties you’ve already earned keep arriving after a release comes down, and you can withdraw them as normal.
Your masters are yours. Taking them down is your call alone.
